Athlete Alexa Chavez secured a place on the podium at a major U.S. National Championship

Costa Rican BMX athlete Alexa Chavez triumphed once again abroad, taking third place on the podium at the USA BMX Gator Nationals, a competition held in Florida, United States.

This event is a Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) C1 event and Alexa is competing in the under-23 category.

In that competition, Americans McKenzie Gayheart and Carly Kane took first and second place respectively.

"I had good heats and bad heats, it's all part of the process," Chávez shared on his social media.

According to information shared by LaJornada.cr , Alexa has won eight national championships in various categories. She has also been competing internationally for over four years, including participating in the UCI World Championships in Belgium in 2019.
