Costa Rican athlete Daniela Alfaro becomes world master champion in the United States

Congratulations! Costa Rican jiu-jitsu athlete Daniela Alfaro becomes middleweight champion at the 2022 World Master Championship, which took place in Las Vegas, USA.

This competition was organized by the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF), where the Costa Rican faced the best masters (36-40 years old) worldwide.

Alfaro took first place on the podium, followed by American Celeste Gage, and in third place was German Franziska Malischewski.

After his big win, Alfaro shared his happiness about this championship on social media, where he also highlighted that he dedicated that medal to his dad.

"I am very grateful for all the support from everyone. I dedicate this to my dad; all the hard work and training I did for this tournament was for him. I am very proud of my performance today... If you ask me, YES, I am very happy," Alfaro described.
