Brisa Hennessy places among the top five athletes globally at the first stop of the 2023 World Tour
Congratulations! Costa Rican Brisa Hennessy finished the Billabong Pro Pipeline among the top five female surfers in the world at the first stop of the 2023 World Tour.
The young athlete scored a total of 4.70 points in Hawaii, and she has a great chance of qualifying for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris for the second time. To achieve this, she must remain among the top eight in the rankings at the end of the tenth stop in Tahiti.
This is Brisa's fourth year competing in the World Tour, an impressive feat that has opened great doors for her in her career as a professional athlete.
The 23-year-old athlete has the possibility of qualifying for the Olympic Games for the second time; to do so, she must remain among the top eight positions in the ranking at the end of the tenth stop in Tahiti on August 20.
The second stop of the Championship Tour begins on Sunday, February 12, in Sunset Beach, Hawaii.
