In the world of CrossFit there is its own dictionary and nomenclature of terms to abbreviate and summarize the names of many of the exercises.

CrossFit terminology:
AFAP - As Fast As Possible: As fast as you can.
AHAP - As Heavy As Possible: As heavy as you can be.
AMRAP - As Many Repetitions (or Rounds) As Possible: All possible repetitions (or rounds).
BW - Body weight: Body Weight.
Box: Space, gym or center where CrossFit is trained.
Cal: Calories.
Chipper: Training with many repetitions and many movements.
CrossFit: Functional training, constantly varied, performed at high intensity.
CrossFitter: A person who does CrossFit.
EMOM - Every Minute on the Minute: Do a set number of repetitions within each minute.
False Grip: This is a type of grip used in gymnastic movements, especially on the rings. It is performed by placing the hand in the ring until the wrist touches it, encircling the ring with the fingers.
For Quality - Por Calidad: When the time it takes to perform the movement doesn't matter, but rather the technique and quality of the movement.
For Time: For a time.
Hook Grip: This type of grip is used in weightlifting movements to improve stability and provide greater safety. It involves using the thumb as a hook to hold the barbell, while the other fingers wrap around the thumb.
MetCon - Metabolic Conditioning: Metabolic conditioning.
PR - Personal record: Personal Record.
Rep: Repetition.
Rest Day: Day of rest.
RM - Repetition maximum: Maximum load that an individual can move.
ROM - Range of Motion: Range of motion.
Rx'd - As prescribed: Training or exercise performed correctly without any modification.
Scaled: Scaled or modified exercise.
Set: The number of times a certain number of repetitions is performed. For example, 4 sets of 5 reps.
Strength: Force.
TABATA: a type of training that consists of 8 intervals of 20 seconds of intense work and 10 seconds of rest. It is named after its creator, Dr. Izumi Tabata.
Time Cap: The time limit that a WOD has to be completed.
UB - Unbroken: This is when an exercise is performed from beginning to end without rest.
Warm up: Warm-up.
WOD - Workout of the day: Training of the day.
