Costa Rica has female representation at the 2022 World Weightlifting Championships

Pride! This Monday the 2022 World Weightlifting Championships began, which are being held in Bogotá, Colombia, until December 16, and Costa Rica has a great female representation.

Costa Rica is represented by athletes Tatiana Salas , who competes in the -71 kg category , and Kimberly Palacios in the 59 kg category .

Salas and Palacios are the only representatives from the entire country.

This world championship features athletes from all over the world, including Thailand, India, China, Colombia, South Korea, and many more.

This great event was organized by the International Weightlifting Federation and the Colombian Weightlifting Federation.

Initially, the championship was going to be held in China, however, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, The federation of this country declined to host the event.
