Guatemalan team "Tecun Uman's Revenge" took first place on the RX podium at Wodapalooza 2023

Congratulations! The Guatemalan team made up of athletes Luis Cacacho, Paolo Rossil and Fernando García "Tecun Uman's Revenge" were crowned champions in the RX category at Wodapalooza 2023.

This past January 12-15, the second largest CrossFit competition, Wodapalooza, took place in Miami, USA.

The Guatemalans faced off against the best athletes in the world , and although they remained in the top 5 for the first few days, they later managed to surpass their opponents and take first place thanks to their great effort and dedication.

Athletes Doer Fitness, Cacacho and Rossil, shared a little about their experience and what they felt when they stood first on the podium.

Cacacho told us that this was the second time he had qualified Wodapalooza as a team in the RX category and that this achievement is a dream come true.

"I am mainly happy, truly very happy that we were given the opportunity to achieve this; it's a dream come true. I am so happy and grateful to God and all the people who accompanied me or were looking out for me throughout the weekend; they really make a difference," Cacacho expressed.
Luis told us he was very happy to have this experience with his teammates and hopes they will share the stage together again. He also highlighted that his next athletic goal is to qualify for the CrossFit Games semifinals.


On the other hand, Rossil told us that this is the second time he has won a podium finish at Wodapalooza, the first time being in the team category in the intermediate division in 2019 alongside Mario Samperio and Fernando García.

She also celebrated her 2023 victory, sharing that it was the result of excellent teamwork, training, and sacrifices.
 

"This time in the RX category with Fercho Garcia and Luis Cacacho, it's truly a very rewarding experience and feeling, as it's the result of excellent teamwork and the training and sacrifices made to maintain good physical condition for the sport. I feel very proud of my teammates and of having managed to put Guatemala's name at the top in this competition."

Rossil has been doing CrossFit competitively since 2016, in 2022 he participated for the first time in the CrossFit Games as a team , and said that his next sporting goal is to qualify again for this great team competition.
