This is Laura Horvath's workout routine

This year the CrossFit Games 2022 took place in August, where Laura Horvath placed third on the podium, which is why we are going to bring you her training routine.

Over the years, Laura has become a star in the world of CrossFit, due to her excellent performances in the various competitions of this discipline.

The 25-year-old athlete is coached by Michele Letendre, a former elite CrossFit competitor from Canada, and follows her trainer's training program called "Deka Comp," which focuses on developing key physical skills such as: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, coordination, agility, balance, and accuracy.

Likewise, an intense program is based on which Laura will have only one day of rest per week and one day of active recovery.

An example of a training day in Horvath's program could include up to five sessions.

He will head to the track twice a week to train with his father, a former track athlete who acts as his running coach. A typical session is 3 x 200m, 400m, 600m with one minute of rest between repetitions and three minutes between sets.

Then, he usually heads to the gym and jumps into a rowing session. After a break, he will focus on lifting something heavier.

A typical weightlifting workout might consist of four sets of four deadlifts.

This will be followed by two more competition-specific training sessions, such as an AMRAP and rounds of hang cleans for time.
