Pride! Costa Rican Julián Espinosa was crowned champion in the adult brown belt category of the 2022 European Championship Without Kimono , which took place this past November 11 in Rome, Italy.
The Costa Rican secured this prestigious first place after defeating Brazilian Marcos Vinicius de Azevedo in the final. He also delivered a stellar performance throughout the competition, facing off against the world's best in the featherweight division.
On his social media, Julián highlighted his happiness at having obtained his first major international title.
"I can only be happy, grateful but not satisfied with this; I had 4 fights, with no points against me and 2 finishes...This is my first big title and many more are coming...Thanks to all the people who have always believed in the process and have contributed in one way or another to my growth, you know who you are...Love y'all," Espinosa wrote.
