Gustavo Errico was crowned "The Fittest Man" in Venezuela 2022
Congratulations! Athlete and coach Gustavo Errico was crowned "The Fittest Man" of Venezuela 2022, after his great participation in the semifinals of the 2022 CrossFit Games.
This past Monday, December 12, CrossFit announced the national champions of each country , and among them was Errico, who expressed his happiness at having achieved one of his great goals.
"I felt the culmination of many small goals that I had for a long time, and as has often happened to me in competitions, it is seeing that the effort I have put into training and in moments when the sacrifice is at its peak and I cannot do things that I would like to do pay off at the end of the day.
"So when I saw it, when I received it, it was a very emotional moment, I was alone and I shed a few crocodile tears," Errico said.
Similarly, Errico shared with us that he has been working towards this great achievement for 6 years, during which he committed himself to becoming the champion of his country.
His next goal is to defend his title and pursue his bigger goal, which is to qualify for the CrossFit Games
Errico started in this discipline when he was 17 years old in Venezuela and immediately took a great liking to it. However, he only practiced it for three months in his country, then he went to live in Costa Rica, where he continued practicing and developing further in the sport.
