While most people are familiar with the term "jump rope," very few know the benefits of doing this exercise every day, from improving heart health to reducing anxiety levels.

Nike.com shared information provided by Mike Matthews , an ISSA (International Sports Science Association) certified personal trainer, highlighting the importance of jumping rope and how it can easily be included in any workout routine.

"If you want to do low-impact exercise or continuous cardio, you can jump rope at a slow and steady pace, or you can increase the intensity with techniques such as high knees or double unders (when the rope passes under your foot twice on each jump) if you prefer to use it as a HIIT-style workout," Mike explains.
