The 4 elements you can't miss in your garage gym
We must have something to move around the house, as physical health and the act of moving is super important and should not depend solely on a place outside the house. We should all have various items to exercise at home, and these can include:
- A yoga mat: this helps to do bodyweight exercises. It is important to master our weight first. It serves to improve mobility and stretching exercises.
- Foam roller: this helps to relieve stress and improve mobility, allowing you to massage yourself a bit after a workout or on a very stressful day.
- Kettlebells/dumbbells: if you know how to use kettlebells, they are a good option; if you don't know how to use them well, the best option would be dumbbells.
- Pull-up bar: not necessarily for doing pull-ups, but also for hanging; being stretched on a bar is super healthy for the spine, for shoulder mobility, and the decompression it causes in the spine is very beneficial since many of us spend a lot of time sitting, improving grip strength.
Once you have these, you can reward yourself with other items like bars, weights, more weight in kettlebells or dumbbells, and gradually build your own garage gym with more equipment.
