"Mind Blown Party": This is the story behind the big Halloween party organized by Doer Fitness and Raw Outdoor Fitness

Don't miss it! Doer Fitness and Raw Outdoor Fitness have teamed up to create the best Halloween party of the year this coming Saturday, October 22nd at 8:00 pm at Mercado La Cartonera, featuring great DJs and national artists.

Steve Ortiz, Event Promoter for the Doer Fitness brand , told us that the project was born out of a need for both companies to talk about mental health , to give it more exposure and involve more people in the topic.

"The idea is to create a premium experience, something out of the ordinary. Both companies always focus on providing added value, so the idea is for the party to be just that: something cool, different, and for people to have a great experience," Ortiz said.

The party will have around 1200 guests and will feature general admission and a VIP area.

Doer Fitness COO Alejandro Marín emphasizes that there is a great need to talk about this topic, as we have all known someone who struggles with mental health every day, and often it is even ourselves.

Marín told us that during 2020, one of her favorite people committed suicide; therefore, they want to express to their community that this issue is completely normal and should never be taken away from that value.

“Because of everything that happened in 2020, there is a whole pandemic, but no longer of Covid, but of mental illnesses that have been increasing. This is why we have seen the need to talk about this issue,” said Marín.

Likewise, Jennifer Saborío, Co-founder of Raw Outdoor Fitness, expressed that the message they seek to convey is to raise awareness about mental health in an area where it is okay not to be okay, since it continues to be a very taboo subject in society.

She also emphasizes the importance of the funds raised at this event for the cause, because currently, having a healthy life, with a psychologist, psychiatrist, and even buying pills in the private sector is not accessible to everyone, and in the Costa Rican Social Security System, it usually takes much longer depending on the cases presented.

“We seek to raise awareness about mental health in an area where it is okay not to be okay, seeking help will always be necessary, whether it is a professional or whatever helps you to feel better,” Saborió mentioned.

Finally, both companies invite people to be part of the best party of the year, to have a great time with friends, family or loved ones, to get out of the daily routine and often out of our comfort zone.
