Costa Rican pride! Athlete Julián Espinosa achieved an outstanding second place in the World Championships without a kimono in the United States
Congratulations! Costa Rican jiu-jitsu athlete Julián Espinosa achieved second place in the 2022 World Championship Without Kimono, which took place from December 8 to 11 in California, United States.
This event belongs to the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation (IBJJF).
Espinosa is a brown belt and competes in the featherweight division. First place went to American Zach Kaina.
On his social media, Espinosa expressed his gratitude to all the people who support him during this journey.
"5 fights. 4 submissions and I lost in the final by split decision. Until next year. Back to correcting mistakes and continuing to improve. Thanks to everyone who is always there for me," he wrote.
Last November, Espinosa became champion in the adult brown belt category of the 2022 European Championship Without Kimono , in Italy.
