Costa Rican pride! The national Para-Table Tennis team were crowned absolute champions of the Costa Rica Cup

Congratulations! The Costa Rican Para-Table Tennis team made history in the country by being crowned absolute champions for the first time at the XI Costa Rica Cup , which took place at the Heiner Ugalde Mora Sports City gym in Hatillo from December 14 to 16.

In this great event Costa Rica achieved a total of 10 medals : four gold, two silver and four bronze.

This edition featured 15 countries, including: Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, El Salvador, France, Great Britain, Guatemala, Israel, Peru, Puerto Rico, Romania, United States and Venezuela.

These are the Costa Rican athletes who won medals :

    • Steven Román – men's individual event
    • Aneth Araya and Joseline Yevenes (Chile) - men's doubles event
    • Steven Román and Domingo Argüello - women's doubles event
    • Steven Román and Aneth Araya - mixed doubles event

    • Domingo Argüello - Men's Individual Event
    • Hernán Solís and José Miguel Choquepuma (Peru) - men's doubles event
  • Bronze medals
    • Giovanni Rodriguez - individual event class 2 and 3
    • Giovanni Rodriguez and Sebastian Chaves - men's doubles event
    • Hernán Solís - Men's Individual Event Class 8
    • Alejandro Hidalgo - Men's Individual Event Class 10
