For the first time in Costa Rican sports: Costa Rican fencer wins senior medal at FIE World Circuit
Congratulations! For the first time in Costa Rican sports history, fencer Bradley Johnston Leyer won an important bronze medal in the World Circuit of the International Fencing Federation (FIA), which took place in the Table Tennis Hall at Peace Park.
This is the first time Costa Rica has won a senior medal at the Satellite Cup.

Panama won the gold medal, Mexico took the silver. and the bronze for Costa Rica and Italy.
" We arrived at the 4th edition of the San Jose Satellite Cup ready to fight and we came away with an important bronze medal that gives me two points for the world ranking, a list in which I am in 181st place," the athlete said.

This edition featured the men's and women's national teams of Panama, Mexico, Peru, El Salvador, Italy, the Netherlands, the Virgin Islands, and the Bahamas.
