RJ Mestre was crowned champion of the Teens 13-15 category at Wodapalooza 2023

Congratulations! Athlete RJ Mestre was crowned champion of the Teens 13-15 category at Wodapalooza 2023, which took place from January 12 to 15 in Miami, United States.

This is the second time the young American has qualified for this great competition, which is one of the biggest in CrossFit.

In 2022 she placed second in the Teens 13-15 category and this year 2023 she took first place on the podium.

"It feels great to get another win under the belt. It was a tough competition with some amazing athletes. After finishing second last year, I was hungry to win it this year! So I think that helped me push myself," RJ said.

At just 15 years old, this was his second first-place competition since winning the title of "The Fittest on Earth" in the 14-15 age category at the biggest competition in the sport, the 2022 CrossFit Games.

RJ started CrossFit in 2015, when he was only 7 years old, now 8 years later he is positioned as the best athlete in his category worldwide, and hopes to defend his title this 2023 at the CrossFit Games.
