Sherman Güity triumphs again: he takes the gold at the Dubai Grand Prix 2023

With his incredible skill, Costa Rican para-sprinter Sherman Güity Güity once again achieved victory at the Dubai Grand Prix this past March 1, 2023, this time in the 100-meter dash, with an impressive time of 10.92 seconds.

Last Monday, Sherman Güity made history by winning his first gold medal at the 2023 Dubai Grand Prix. The Costa Rican athlete showcased his talent in the 200-meter dash, leaving his rivals behind with an impressive time of 21.73 seconds. It's worth noting that his personal best in this event is 21.40 seconds.

Over time, the Costa Rican para-athlete has demonstrated his impressive skill in the 100-meter dash; his best recorded time is 10.78 seconds, which he achieved at the Tokyo Paralympic Games, where he won the silver medal.

"I know very well that difficult moments happen all the time. It's stressful, yes, it's worrying, yes, and we think, 'Why me?' 'Because God only gives tough tests to his best soldiers,'" the para-athlete explained.

In May 2022, the Costa Rican athlete stunned the world by running a race in Switzerland in just 10.61 seconds, setting what appeared to be a new world record. However, after verifying the wind speed, the time was not considered official.
