Costa Rican Yaniela Arias will play for the French women's football team AS Monaco.

Proud! Dimas Escazú captain Yaniela Arias has become the newest member of the French women's football team AS Monaco, where she will play in the third division.

The news was confirmed by the team's director, Laurent Banide, to the Monaco Tribune. He also commented that the Costa Rican player will join the team in the coming days.

The president of Dimas Escazú commented that Yaniela will travel to Europe this Friday, September 30, where she will have her first international experience in France.

"I'm happy because we're having the opportunity to play in France, and well, I'm grateful for this opportunity, for my team... I think it's an opportunity that will help me grow a lot, personally, in football, to make the most of it," Yaniela expressed.
