Costa Rican Daniel Ojeda won a silver medal in the Junior World Cup of Epee

Congratulations! The young Costa Rican Daniel Ojeda won a silver medal in the Junior World Cup of Epee, which took place at the National Table Tennis Hall in Parque de la Paz, San Sebastián.

Daniel won his silver medal in the Men's Epee category, after facing Kruz Schembri from the Virgin Islands.

The Costa Rican expressed his happiness and pride on his Instagram account, where he emphasized that being an athlete is not easy, but that you should never give up and always trust in God.

"Being an athlete isn't easy. In those moments of affliction, we must ask for comfort from our God and continue persevering for the opportunities He will give us later. We may want things right now, but let's remember that the Lord's timing is not the same as ours. Let's keep walking, let's keep persevering, let's keep getting back up as many times as necessary, and let's keep doing everything because..." Ojeda wrote.

Costa Rica hosted this international competition, in which athletes from Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, South Korea, Ukraine, Romania, United States, Puerto Rico, Uzbekistan, El Salvador, Barbados, Panama and Costa Rica.

This tournament was endorsed by the International Fencing Federation.
