Costa Ricans were crowned Central American beach volleyball champions in the under-21 category

Pride! The national under-21 beach volleyball team were crowned Central American champions in the men's and women's categories at the XIV Central American Under-21 Beach Volleyball Championship , which was held in Panama from November 9 to 14.

They achieved this first place on the podium after winning a bronze medal and two gold medals.

The male pair Julián Araya and Jhostin Varela defeated El Salvador 2-0 in the tournament final.

Meanwhile, in the women's category, Angel William and Kianny Araya defeated Guatemala in the grand final, and the second pair , Sofía Vega and Aliza Aguilar, beat El Salvador and obtained third place.

Three national team athletes, Aliza Aguilar, Julián Araya and Jhostin Varela , competed in the recent World Championship, managing to place among the top 17 in the world.
