Venezuelan ready to travel to Brazil and look for his ticket to the CrossFit Games

GUSTAVO ERRICO IS AMONG THE 130 BEST IN THE WORLD IN THIS DISCIPLINE AND CURRENTLY RESIDES IN COSTA RICA

The Venezuelan athlete and coach Gustavo Errico is currently ranked 7th in South America in CrossFit and is preparing for the semifinals of the CrossFit Games, which will be held in Brazil on June 10.

The athlete will compete against 29 people in the individual category at the CrossFit Copa Sur and must finish among the top two to win his ticket to the world championship. This will take place in Madison, Wisconsin, United States, from August 3 to 7.

Errico started in this discipline when he was 17 years old in Venezuela and immediately took a liking to it. However, he only practiced it for three months in his country, then he moved to Costa Rica, where he continued practicing and developing more in the sport.

Likewise, qualifying for the CrossFit Games is one of the biggest goals Gustavo has in his life, as it has been his objective since he started this journey.

“A year after starting CrossFit, I set it as a goal, I took it more seriously on a personal level and in the decisions I make daily, to get closer to that goal every day,” said Errico.

In addition to national competitions, Gustavo has traveled to other countries to compete internationally such as Guatemala, Panama, the United States, Dubai, and this will be the first time he competes in South America in person. In the semifinals of 2021, he participated virtually and placed 17th.
