Vera Valdez and Gabriel Bracamontes qualify for the LATAM CUP WODAPALOOZA 2024

After ten events spread over three very solid days of competition, the Guatemalan and the Mexican managed to be crowned in first place in the tenth edition of Wodfest.

The competition tested all the athletes' skills and abilities, starting the first day with an event in which they had to run 2 kilometers, swim 500 meters and finish with a 2-kilometer run.

This edition featured the participation of athletes from Latin America, including Mexicans Gabriel Bracamontes and Samuel Sánchez, American Rob Thomas, Brazilian athlete Rafael Azevedo, Ana María Valladares, Vera Valdez, and Gabriela Pérez.

With only a few points separating them, Vera Valdez and Ana María Valladares consistently led the overall standings in the RX category. Meanwhile, Eva Briceño and Samanta Castro battled for third place.

In the men's category, Mexicans Gabriel Bracamontes, Samuel Sánchez and Costa Rican Juan José Carrillo were always in the top positions.

Honduran Ana María Valladares secured second place in her category, just a few points behind Valdez. Valladares once again traveled to Costa Rica to demonstrate her exceptional performance in this sport, striving for a podium finish. She is a beloved athlete and a perennial favorite in competitions in our country.

In a nail-biting final, the athletes faced a ladder challenge consisting of Ring Muscle Up, Squat Clean, Unbroken Handstand Walk, and Handstand Hold. The event was won by Valdes and Jimmy Trejos.
